One Target Series

Quantitative macro forecasting first became practical once regular economic measurement made single-series estimation possible. This live route follows one series from target definition and benchmark evaluation through diagnostics and baseline projection.

Section Notes
Route notes

Target definition comes before the live model so GDP, inflation, labor, and spending do not all default to the same forecast target.

Benchmarks run before ETS and ARIMA so the route can tell whether the live model is adding information or only complexity.

Diagnostics stay close to the workflow through backtesting, residual bands, and an explicit audit trail.
